Sarah Maclean (Nicita)

Sarah has extensive experience advising private and public sector organisations on workplace legal issues. She is regarded for her particular expertise in workplace investigations and for her ability to cut through the most complex of matters. Sarah's engaging style and commercial approach casts a fresh light on workplace legal issues.
Sarah was admitted as a solicitor in 2002 and has made her career as an employment lawyer.
Sarah is an expert in workplace investigations. She has worked in-house to implement best practice investigation technique and to improve outcomes for internal investigations units within NSW public sector agencies. She has sat as an indepenent advisor on two NSW government internal disciplinary panels. She is regularly instructed to conduct investigations and to provide advice and support to internal investigation teams.
As a skilled public speaker, Sarah is often called upon to share her expertise with clients and peers. She is known for her engaging style and down-to-earth, practical approach to in-house training.
Sarah's work also regularly includes drafting employment contracts and policies and dealing with employment claims and disputes. She appears before all state and federal industrial relations and discrimination commissions and tribunals.
Prior to establishing Aurora Workplace Law, Sarah was a Senior Associate at Henry Davis York in Sydney. She has worked at Salans (now Dentons) in London and at Fisher Cartwright Berriman (now FCB Workplace Law) in Sydney.
